STUD CATTLE

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. Entry Fee $6.00 No charge Interbreeds

  2. All cattle entered must be on the Showground ready for judging by 8.30am on the second day of the Show, Saturday February 9, 2008

  3. Entries will close on February 1, 2008

  4. All cattle must be the bona-fide property of the exhibitor and be registered or be eligible for registration on their respective stud books. Led steers excepted.

  5. No exhibitor to compete in more than one class, unless otherwise stated.

  6. All animals must be led.

  7. All bulls must be provided with strong halters and must be secured when parading with a lead attached to a nose clip. All cattle to have nose grips in at all times.

  8. The age of cattle to be actual age up to and including February 2, 2008.

  9. All prize winners are expected to participate in the Grand Parade.

  10. Where possible exhibitors are requested to have an appropriate sign indicating name of stud etc placed over the team in the cattle pavilion in the area allocated by Steward.

  11. Stud grooms should wear dustcoats or suitable breed dress when parading.

  12. Interbreed/Breeders group/champion female if there is a calf at foot, it must be under eight months of age.

  13. All cattle will be stalled according to Johnes status. Johnes declarations should accompany entries.

JUDGING OF ALL OTHER REGISTERED BREEDS OF CATTLE WILL COMMENCE AT 8.30AM.

1.BULL 6 months and under 12 months

2.BULL 12 months and under 16 months

3.BULL 16 months and under 20 months

LED STEER COMPETITION

21.Led Steer Competition any breed or cross. Sponsored by Hillcrest Grazing Co, Jim & Beth Landers, Keith and Annette Willcocks, Mole Station Pastoral Co.

Minimum three entries or no event

22. Purebred Led Steer - Perpetural trophy donated by Sixpence Park Murray Grey Stud

 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.Steer shall be the bona-fide property of the exhibitor

2.Feeding shall be unrestricted

3.Competition shall be confined to steers with no permanent teeth

4.More than one entry per exhibitor is permitted

5.Steer must be paraded for judging and also led in the Grand Parade

6.Points will be allotted for weight for age, conformation, degree of finish and also for parading ability.

 

PRIZEMONEY : First $50, second $30, third $20
