Upon achieving an open saddle (ridden) championship in one ring your horse/pony is not eligible to compete in any further saddle (ridden) classes on the day apart from the championship classes to be held after the grand parade.

SHOW HUNTERS

CONDITIONS:

Horses competing in show hunter classes are not eligible to compete for champion hack unless they have won an open hack class.

Show hunters have more substance than the modern fine hack/pony but will still maintain quality.

they are expected to move freely at all paces

they may be expected to gallop for the judged

there should be no coloured brow bands on show hunters, or multi-coloured hair ribbons and flowers on riders

junior riders may not wear top boots

96.Show hunter 13 hands and not exceeding 14 hands

97.Show hunter galloway over 14 hands and not exceeding 14 .2 hands

98.Show hunter galloway over 14.2 hands and not exceeding 15 hands

99.Show hunter hack 15 hands and not exceeding 16 hands

100. Show hunter hack over 16 hands

101. Girl Rider 12 years and under 14 years

PONY HACKS

105. Open Pony Hack 12 hands and under. To be ridden by child under 17 years.

106. Open Pony Hack over 12 hands and not exceeding 12.2. hands. To be ridden by child under 17 years

Champion and Reserve Champion Small Pony Hack (from classes 105-106) Champion eligible for Champion Small Pony of the Show

107. Open Pony Hack over 12.2. not exceeding 13 hands. To be ridden by child under 17 years.

108. Open Pony Hack over 13. not exceeding 13.2 hands. To be ridden by child under 17 years.

109. Open Pony Hack over 13.2. not exceeding 14 hands. To be ridden by child under 17 years.

Champion and Reserve Champion  Pony Hack (from classes 107-109) Champion eligible for Champion Large Pony of the Show

110. Pleasure Pony Hack not exceeding 14 hands to be ridden with a single rein and plain bit

111. Best pair of ponies 14 hands and under to be ridden by boys and girls under 17 years.

MISCELLANEOUS HACKS

112. Educated Hack or Galloway over 14 hands to be judged at the discretion of the judge

113. Pleasure Hack over 15 hands to be ridden with single rein and bit

114. Pair of Hacks over 15 hands to be judged on uniformity, colour, action and education.

115. Riding team of four comprising ponies, galloways and hacks.
