Section Twenty

ALPACA FLEECE SECTION

Conditions

* The Show Committee reserves the right in consultation with the Judge to:

-combine or split classes, attempting to disadvantage as few entries as possible.
-reclassify any fleece for colour and transfer the reclassified fleece to the appropriate class.

* 6 months is the minimum age of an animal at first shearing for a fleece to be accepted for judging.

* Fleece entries must be the property of the exhibitor and be from an alpaca owned by the exhibitor at the time of shearing.

* Only one fleece that has been shorn in the 9 months prior to the show may be shown from one alpaca

* It is planned that the fleece shall be micron tested.

* Whilst all care will be taken with fleece and the public will not have direct access to handle exhibits, the show committee can not be held responsible for any damage, loss, mis-delivery or exhibits lost during the return process.

Classes

(1) 1st fleece  - white and light fawn

(2) 1st fleece  - dark fawn and brown

(3) 1st fleece  - black and grey

(4) 2nd fleece  - white and light fawn

(5) 2nd fleece  - dark fawn and brown

(6) 2nd fleece  - black and grey

(7) 3rd and above fleece  - white and light fawn

(8) 3rd and above fleece  - dark fawn and brown

(9) 3rd and above fleece  - black and grey

ALPACA SECTION

Conditions

* It is expected that all animals will have been shorn in the spring on 2006.

* All winner animals are encouraged to participate in the grand parade at 3pm on the Saturday

* All exhibitors to the best of their knowledge shall not exhibit any Alpaca showing signs and symptoms of disease or illness at the time of the Show and be deemed to be physically sound.

* The owner or exhibitor disapproved as an exhibit by the Judge must, immediately on notice to that effect, remove such exhibit if required.

* Exhibitors must keep the stall allotted to their animals clean and give proper attention to their stock throughout the show.

* A competitor may not discuss with the Judge their Alpacas or proposed exhibits with him/her prior to, or during the show.

* The judge’s decision shall be final, and had the power of withholding prizes from the exhibit not deemed to be worthy of that prize.

* Alpaca entries must be the property of the exhibitor.

* The age of the animal at the 10th February 2007 will determine the class the alpaca should be entered into.

No:1  female 6 – 12 months  - white and light fawn

No:2  female 6 – 12 months - any other colors

No:3  female 12 – 24 months  - white and light fawn

No:4  female 12 – 24 months - any other colors

No:5  male 6 – 12 months  - white and light fawn               

No:6  male 6 – 12 months - any other colors

No:7  male 12 – 24 months  - white and light fawn              

No:8  male 12 – 24 months - any other colors

No:9  male over 24 months - white and light fawn              

No:10 male over 24 months - any other colors
